Notes

Japanese arborvitae (Thuja standishii) is a tree for screens, hedges, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is an evergreen that does not flower, so it gives you year-round color. It can reach 20 to 30 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide, so give it plenty of room.

Pairs well with Cotoneaster, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Sarah Bernhardt peony, and The President clematis.
