Notes
'Jean Davis' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Jean Davis') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. It forms a grey-green mound with fragrant pale pink blooms from early to late summer, and bees and butterflies visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Cut the stems for bouquets.
Pairs well with Purple Coneflower coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and Karl Rosenfield peony.
