Notes
'Jester' apple (Malus domestica 'Jester') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. East Malling Research bred it in 1965. The creamy-yellow apples are flushed with red, are grown for fresh eating, and often please children. Plant a second apple nearby for pollination, since this tree is not self-fertile.
Pairs well with Honeyberry, Lingonberry, Wormwood, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
