Notes

Jeweled wakerobin (Trillium simile) is a perennial for shade gardens, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to average soil. Its white flowers are sweetly fragrant and bloom in early to late spring, and bees visit them. It is a spring ephemeral that may go dormant by summer. It grows slowly and may sulk a bit in its second year, so give it time to settle in.

Pairs well with Bloodroot, Goldenseal, Lady fern, and Aureola Japanese forest grass.
