'Jinju-den' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Jinju-den') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Plant it where its woody stems have room to grow year after year. The blooms work well in a vase, so you can cut a few for indoor color.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Pink Impression tulip, Ostrich fern, and Clematis.
