Notes

'Joanna' foxtail lily (Eremurus 'Joanna') is a bulb for borders, cottage gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Tall flower spikes rise 72 to 120 inches high in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, David garden phlox, Little bluestem, and Jackmanii clematis.
