Notes

'Johann Strauss' iris (Iris 'Johann Strauss') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are flax blue, and the falls are creamy white with a large deep aureolin blotch. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It blooms in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Feather reed grass, and Casa Blanca lily.
