Notes

'John Clayton' coral honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens 'John Clayton') is a vine for borders, pollinator gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It climbs fast, holds its leaves through the year, and tolerates salt. Pale yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with The President clematis, Mountain laurel, and Jeana garden phlox.
