Notes

'Johnny's Sunflower Collection' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Johnny's Sunflower Collection') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Gold blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast with an erect habit and handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Xsenia cosmos, Profusion Orange zinnia, and Cerise Queen yarrow.
