Notes

'Jolie Madame' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Jolie Madame') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant rose pink flowers open from early to late spring and draw hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The evergreen leaves keep color in winter.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Little brown jug, Japanese forest grass, and Smooth hydrangea.
