Notes

'Jonwin' apple (Malus domestica 'Jonwin') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate and has a dense habit. Flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. The Oregon State Experiment Station developed it, and it is claimed to be a hybrid of Jonathan and Baldwin.

Pairs well with Karl Rosenfield peony, Cornflower, Grape hyacinth, and Ostrich fern.
