Notes

'Joseph Haydn' iris (Iris 'Joseph Haydn') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are greyish white, and the falls are aureolin with a large buttercup yellow blotch. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Feather reed grass, and Viburnum.
