Notes

'Kapu' honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea 'Kapu') is a shrub for food gardens, grown for fresh eating, pies, jams, and jellies. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant yellow flowers open in spring and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer tend to pass it by. Plants are self-fertile, but a second variety nearby gives more and larger fruits.

Pairs well with Campfire rose, Cheerfulness daffodil, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Sedge.
