Notes
'Keepsake' apple (Malus domestica 'Keepsake') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fruit is grown for fresh eating, picks late in the season, and keeps for 3 months or more. White spring flowers draw bees, so plant a second apple tree nearby for pollination. University of Minnesota bred it in 1978.
Pairs well with Juneberry, Festiva Maxima peony, and Grape hyacinth.
