Notes

'King of the Blues' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'King of the Blues') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Its fragrant, indigo blue flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. It is a late forcing bulb.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Blue fescue.
