Notes

'Kinran' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Kinran') is a tree for specimen planting, accents, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad tree and can reach about 12 to 20 feet tall and wide. Bees and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Nigrescens mondo grass, and Spring snowflake.
