Notes

'Kishu Caprice' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Kishu Caprice') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double, ball-shaped, rose-pink blooms with silvery highlights in early spring. The flowers have good substance, and the stems are strong. Caprice Farm Nursery introduced it in 1988.

Pairs well with Blue star, Greig's tulip, Sedge, and Annabelle hydrangea.
