Notes

'Komodo Dragon' hosta (Hosta 'Komodo Dragon') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and spreads 78 to 84 inches, so give it plenty of room. Light lavender-purple flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pairs well with White phlox, Piilu clematis, Strawberry Sundae panicle hydrangea, and Thalia daffodil.
