Notes

'Kuchi' honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea 'Kuchi') is a shrub for the food garden, grown for fresh fruit, pies, jams, and jellies. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant yellow flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Plant another Yezberry variety nearby for pollination. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Campfire rose, Red elderberry, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
