Notes

'La Vida Más' Indian-hawthorn (Rhaphiolepis indica 'La Vida Más') is a shrub for hedges, foundation plantings, privacy screens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast into a dense, evergreen mound. Fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and draw bees, and birds visit too. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Live oak, Purple top, Lemongrass, and Vermillionaire cuphea.
