Notes
'Parhap' Indian-hawthorn (Rhaphiolepis indica 'Parhap') is a shrub for hedges, foundation plantings, privacy screens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and forms a dense, evergreen shape. Fragrant spring flowers draw bees, and birds visit the plant too. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Pineapple sage, Mondo grass, and Italian cypress.
