Notes
'La Ville de St. Denis' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'La Ville de St. Denis') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its woody stems stay above ground through winter, so you only need to trim out dead wood in spring.
Pairs well with Lady's mantle, New Jersey tea, and Garlic chives.
