Notes
'Lachsglut' aster (Symphyotrichum 'Lachsglut') is a perennial for cut flowers, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, clay soil. Purple blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and they attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Big bluestem, Blue wild indigo, and Joe-pyeweed.
