Lactea Superba tree peony

Garden uses

Notes

'Lactea Superba' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Lactea Superba') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its woody stems stay above ground through winter, so you can leave them in place and prune only to remove dead wood.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Woodland phlox, Black Parrot tulip, and Ostrich fern.
