Notes

'Lan Bo Zi Ying' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Lan Bo Zi Ying') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant lavender single flowers open in mid to late spring and face upward. Dark purplish-grey flares spread out from the center of each bloom. The wavy petals look like different shades of purple in different light.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Sedge, Greig's tulip, and Wild ginger.
