Notes

'Laxton's Fortune' apple (Malus domestica 'Laxton's Fortune') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White blooms open from early to late spring and attract bees. The tree is partially self-fertile, but a second apple variety nearby gives better crops. Laxton Brothers Nursery bred it in 1904.

Pairs well with Raspberry, Juneberry, Hyssop, and Blue fescue.
