Notes
'Le Vasterival' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Le Vasterival') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast into an arching shrub with white blooms that attract bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Give it plenty of room, since it can spread 7 to 8 feet wide.
Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Western sword fern, American hornbeam, and Spanish bluebell.
