Notes

'Legion of Honor' French marigold (Tagetes patula 'Legion of Honor') is an annual for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound up to 12 inches tall and tolerates drought. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Mealycup sage, Cornflower, and Cosmos.
