Notes

'Lemon Popsicle' red-hot poker (Kniphofia 'Lemon Popsicle') is a perennial for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Yellow flower spikes appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. They draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Hummingbird's mint, Prairie dropseed, and Autumn fern.
