Notes

'Lemonade' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Lemonade') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its fully double blooms are bright lemon yellow, and it stays under 24 inches tall. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Apricot Lemonade cosmos, Profusion Red zinnia, and Red fescue.
