Notes

'Light of Loddon' ox eye (Heliopsis helianthoides 'Light of Loddon') is a clumping perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It is drought tolerant and grows at a moderate pace. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, PowWow White coneflower, Nodding onion, and Foxtail barley.
