Notes

'Limelight' apple (Malus domestica 'Limelight') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating and juice. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees. Hugh Ermen bred it in the 1980s. Plant a second apple nearby, since it is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Raspberry, Juneberry, Blue fescue, and Hyssop.
