Notes

'Lovely Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Lovely Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant rose-pink blooms have cream shading and attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1942.

Pairs well with Purple cranesbill, Lady's mantle, Globemaster allium, and Willow bell.
