Notes

'Low' Japanese quince (Chaenomeles superba 'Low') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. White flowers open in early to mid spring. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and 36 to 48 inches wide, and it is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Tree peony, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Stargazer lily.
