Notes

'Cameo' Japanese quince (Chaenomeles superba 'Cameo') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Peach pink flowers open from early to late spring and have a sweet fragrance. Bees and birds visit the shrub, and it tolerates drought. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, First Knight fountain grass, and Armenian grape hyacinth.
