Notes

'Lucky Lemons' red-hot poker (Kniphofia 'Lucky Lemons') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its tall flower spikes bloom in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Coneflower, and Buffalo grass.
