Notes

'Lucy Ball' ornamental onion (Allium 'Lucy Ball') is a bulb for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant, dark lilac purple flowers sit on stems about 100 cm tall and attract butterflies and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant the bulbs in groups for a bolder show.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Bowl of Beauty peony, and Blue fescue.
