Notes

'Lutea' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Lutea') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that attracts birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. Give it room to reach its full spread.

Pairs well with Emerald Pink moss phlox, Red fescue, and Shrubby cinquefoil.
