Notes

'Magic' ornamental onion (Allium 'Magic') is a bulb for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Its fragrant magenta-purple flowers form half spheres and attract bees and butterflies. Plant it in groups of 3, 5, or 7. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Sarah Bernhardt peony, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Casa Blanca lily.
