Metallic Shine star of persia

Notes

'Metallic Shine' star of persia (Allium 'Metallic Shine') is a bulb for the food garden. It is typically grown as an annual. It ranks among the more cold-hardy crops, and with some winter protection it keeps growing through light freezes. This plant likes full or part sun. Its magenta flowers open in early to late spring. Each bloom is 10 to 12 inches wide and made of hundreds of loose, star shaped flowers.

Pairs well with Fritillary, Common mallow, and Common comfrey.
