Notes

'Miami' ornamental onion (Allium 'Miami') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The purple flowers sit in loose heads and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Plant bulbs in groups of 3, 5, or 7 for the strongest impact.

Pairs well with Ravenswing cow parsley, New Zealand wind grass, Prinzessin Victoria Louise oriental poppy, and Black Adder Bill Williams Mountain giant hyssop.
