Notes
'Minerva' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Minerva') is a bulb for borders and containers, and it takes little work. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The flowers have a red ground color with a white band and white veins. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall.
Pairs well with Daffodil, Snapdragon, and Gladiolus.
