Notes

'Montrose' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Montrose') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, deep pink blooms look like bombs and have a sweet fragrance. They make good cut flowers. Darwin M. Andrews bred it.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Sedge, Grape hyacinth, and Thumbelina zinnia.
