Notes

'Moon River' peony (Paeonia 'Moon River') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The large, double, fragrant blooms are cream with pink shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Carl G. Klehm bred it in 1972.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Black Hero tulip, and Western sword fern.
