Notes
'Möwe' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Möwe') is a shrub for cut flowers, hedges, shade gardens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Blooms open from early to late summer, and the shrub also tolerates salt.
Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, Lady fern, and Aureola Japanese forest grass.
