Notes

'Mrs. Anna Smirnow' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Mrs. Anna Smirnow') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 36 inches tall. The huge, full double flowers are rose pink with large imbricated petals. Louis Smirnow bred it from a cross of 'Himegozen' and 'Kasuga-yama'.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Hinoki cypress, and Ostrich fern.
