Notes
'Naomi' Japanese forest grass (Hakonechloa macra 'Naomi') is a grass for shade gardens, containers, borders, and woodland edges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into an arching mound up to 24 inches tall. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with June hosta, Nigrescens mondo grass, and Evergold sedge.
