Notes
'All Gold' Japanese forest grass (Hakonechloa macra 'All Gold') is a perennial grass for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. The chartreuse-gold leaves cascade and rustle gently in the breeze. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Try it with dark burgundy or blue foliage, or plant it in a mass as a ground cover.
Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Foam flower, and Christmas fern.
