Notes

'Nico' iris (Iris 'Nico') is a bulb for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Each compact bulb sends up as many as three sweetly scented flowers, and Tony Hall bred it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Plant it near the front of a bed where you can enjoy the fragrance.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Casa Blanca lily, and Feather reed grass.
