Notes

'Nippon Beauty' peony (Paeonia 'Nippon Beauty') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its deep red, fragrant Japanese type flowers have petaloids with yellow-flushed tips, and butterflies and bees visit them. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Dittany, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Black Hero tulip.
